Ajuga genevensis - Geneva Bugleweed

This Ajuga is a bit taller than it's reptans cousins, standing 6-10" tall at it's tallest bloom height, and the bloom stems, because of their height, may tend to sag or droop a bit under their own weight. Foliage is a bright green. Bloom time is early to mid-May, with bluish-purple flowers lasting 1-2 weeks. The flowers can be dead-headed and may lead to a second round of blooms later in the growing season. This variety will spread up to two feet along the ground, foliage (not flower stem) standing 2" or less above the ground.
