Thuja occidentalis 'Pyramidalis' - Pyramidal Arborvitae

Eastern Arborvitae, American Arborvitae, White Cedar. These are also some of the names used for this species, and "Pyramid Arb" is sometimes an overused term for evergreen shrubs other than this one. This Pyramidal Arborvitae is known for it's close-knit growing habit and slightly rounded top, which lends itself nicely to either formal settings where plant restraint is required, or where a dense screen is needed. The soft, kelly green foliage makes a row of these easy for the eyes to enjoy. Shaping of this plant is possible, but heavy pruning will result in a plant that takes several years before it appears full again.
