| The Rose Glow Barberry (I've also seen it sold as 'Rosy Glow') has many similarities to the more popular 'Crimson Pygmy', but has several distinct differences. The Rose Glow at maturity is a much larger plant, and the foliage color seems to be of a brighter reddish-purple. Foliage on new shoots have a characteristic splash of light pink, which fades to a darker purple as it ages. Buds are reddish-purple, opening to yellow blooms in mid-spring. As with other Barberries, thorns are included. |
