Who knew installing pavers could be so easy?  Have a look.

Sponsored by the Home Depot and Danny Lipford, I’m sure this patio installation will last a good long time.  If by a good long time you mean four weeks.  This is one of the reasons why many contractors have a hard time selling to borderline DIY’ers.  C’mon, Danny.  You know this isn’t the way to build a patio.  Bill Schwab even showed you how a few years ago.  Did you forget?

I’d build it that way only smaller. And then park my trash cans on it. At least he warned about not using a hammer.

Good point about DIY’s. I drive by a DIY job that is installing some nice Unilock front steps, pillars and walkway. They are really doing an impressive job but hopefully they will tell their friends how involved it was and its not finished at the 10 week mark.

wow! another reason to dislike the home depot. I like the 14-inch drop off next to the “patio” that will require about 8,000 bags of their premium topsoil. Nice base construction too.
