If you are going to be doing production work, you'd be selling yourself short if you don't look at the Blizzard Power plows. I have an 810 and cut my plow time by 30% the first time out with it. That number improved quite a bit after I became accustomed to both the plow and its controls. It costs about $1000 over a straight blade, but you'd make that back in increased production in just a storm or two.

When I plowed snow we used Boss V-plows. I loved using them. Rarely did I use in the straight position. My dad uses a meyer and swears by it. I guess you get accustomed to what you have access to.

i totaly agree with you guys. i gotta go with 4 seasons becasue i have plowed with a boss befor and it was deff different than my western. i think it has something to do with the pumps on them and the difference in PSI. i can remeber being 10 years old and my dad letting me plow the drive way and it was with a western and that is what i stuck with.

Boss V. But I gotta say I have my doubts. My #2 truck has a Western straight and the guy who drives it can clean a parking lot as fast and as clean as I can. Maybe the question is "Who's the driver?"

I have a Western since the day I had it installed on my 95 pickup. Installed Oct 94 to be exact..........not 1 problem. Only blew one hose.

I now have on my 2005 a Blizzard 810.

No doubt the 810 cut down my plowing time some......

Funny thing here is January 2006 was the only 1 real snow we had..........this year is a total bust.........only been out salting 2x so far
