The first thing with all services, is know your overhead. I an tell you within a coulpe of thousand dollars what it takes for me to turn the key to open the shop. What you need to make over and above that figures into your cost per labor hr. Lets say you have $200,000 in overhead ( your wages, insurance, fuel, payments, rent, ect.....) and you have 10 men working for you. Now those 10 men put in 40 hrs a week for 32 weeks. So without their wages this gives you a $15.625 per hr labor rate without their wages.

don't worry what others charge. quality is worth more in the long run. never negotiate. educate your client as to why they can't live without your professional advice, quality work and premium materials. know your overhead and know what you want to make on the hour to be profitable. profit is not a bad word. if the people you target can't afford you, change your target clients.i only work high end and commercial direct with owners. i will not engage in bidding wars. you either want the best or you don't. don't work for the priveledge of standing in someones yard. set the standard of your company above the "rest" and you will succeed. if someone wants some johny lunch bucket leaking fluids in their drive, who isn't educated, or professional. let them go with the lowest bid. they more money you make from the job, they less they complain, and they will probably keep you in referrals. people of caliber know they get what they pay for in the green industry. if you are of caliber then you are well on your way! may God bless your every good seed.
