Thanks! I appreciate you telling me about humber to begin with. The program seems really good and I'm excited for it to start. A little bit nervous but if I work hard I should be fine. I'll probably post up some of my designs for projects to get input and such when the time comes

Education Education Education

You're only 19, don't sell yourself short. In two or three years you may want to expand into other areas once you see how much this industry has to offer. I went to Guelph many years ago and they had a terrific Landscape Architecture Program - I can only imagine how much better it is 20 years later.

It is true that the paver manufacturers offer some great installation courses and seminars. You could also try working for a landscape design build contractor for a few years, learn what some of your options are and make your mistakes on their dime. There's no substitute for hands on experience.

When I was 19 I wanted to customize vans.

A "P.Eng" designation will allow you to certify retaining walls. Every time I write that cheque, I wish I had stayed in school. Good luck-Humber's program is excellant, some of my new guys come from there. You'll learn alot, then work on your CLD or CLT designation through Landscape Ontario. It will give you lots of credibility when looking or quoting work.
