Where can money be made?

Having allready created a very good landscaping company in the Uk.We've now decided to move and relocate ourselves within the USA.
What would be a good state where landscaping can take off,or where is the money to be made?
Having not much knowledge about areas,we could do with some advice.
Kind regards
Mark.

"We've decided to move and relocate..."

Your entire company(employees an d everyone or just you and family?) Just curious why you would want to leave an already successful business, and start over?

I would think you would first want to know what sort of area you wanted to live in. Do you want to live in the desert, oceanside, mountains, temperate or subtropical, etc.? We got it all man. Or are you just runnin from the law and need to get out of the UK fast?

Hello, Mark

While our site is certainly all about sharing information about our industry, I think the lack of response is probably due to the question you're posing.

If I told you "yeah, it's great in Wisconsin - c'mon over here and make lots of money" (BTW, the market is terrible in Wisconsin - but you're welcome to try), I'd be kicking myself if you decided to become a local competitor, taking projects from me.

I'm not saying that's right or wrong - just calling it like I see it.

If I were in your shoes I would head for the southwest. You can work 12 months a year there. People seem to value landscaping there too.

British Columbia, Canada. You won't need a green card.

If I were you I would do some research on what are the fastest growing in the US and pick one that suits your tastes. There are quite a few such places in the desert southwest....Nevada, southern Utah, etc.

Victoria,BC, Canada

Being from the UK, there wouldn't be much culture shock moving to B.C. The province is beautiful, the weather along the coast is moderate, and there is a ton of work to be had. My wife's cousin lives on the island and loves it. Lots of expensive homes, lots of potential projects, and you can work pretty much all year just like you probably do in England.
