Walker Mowing is an unknown quantity at this point
Contracting Fert. & Irrigation

I have been in business for 6 years now. Started out mowing and moved into Landscape mant.and some small installation. I have no real knowledge of Irrigation or Fertilizer. Not licensed to do either.

I recently acquired a contract to take care of every possible aspect of lawn and landscape for the local Outback Steakhouse. I have contacted a local landscape business who does Fertilizer and Irrigation to take care of this for me. They do not do any mowing which is my primary business, so I don't see them as direct competitor.

My question's are has anyone had any positive or negative experiences with contracting this type of work out (for those who don't or did not perform such actions)? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I've contracted the WeedMan to spray at my larger commercial sites for a few years now. It does cost more to do that, then if I were to do it myself. I am licensed and one of my employees has his Techician license, but we only use backpack sprayers and prefer not to have to refill over-and-over when spraying 1+ acre sites. We fertilize ALL our properties, but only spray the residentials. If you get into residential spraying you'll probably want to get licensed and do it yourself.
