call concrete contractors, other landscapers, and excavators and builders it is good to have sites all around town so you don't have to drive 20 miles to dump a load. The closer the site is to you the more money you will end up making/saving.. Be on the lookout also (as mentioned above) for signs of free fill, but also new construction... where do they haul that? call em, follow em.
I've got 7-8 different sites I can go depending on where I am.
It is the key to making money, always be on the lookout.
