wink trouble finding work need help

ive been pretty busy for the whole summer so far but lately people havent called for awhile and i know its my first year and i shouldnt be that busy i was just wondering if there is any better way to advertise other than dropping buisness cards everywhere and passing out flyers, it seems to be alright i was really booked for a while but now it has slowed to maybe a 1 or 2 day job every week, is this normal for the first year or is there something that i should do now? thanks

I am replying not knowing what part of the biz you are in whether it be maint. or install.

We are creeping up on the tougher time of the year for sales. Remember people are going on vacations and the like during the summer ussually the height of this being mid Aug till mid sept.

We learned long ago that we needed to push hard selling in spring in order to book us through the slower times of the season. Something to remember next year.

As far as advertising this time of year....make contact with your existing customer base and see if they need anything done, network, job signs, etc.

Stonehenge is on a distinguished road
I find that we get a consistent return on door hangers. Have something attractive put together (run a search here for door hanger and I think you'll see the one we use) and start hanging whenever you have a little free time.
