I worked for a company 10 years ago and they were charging $0.55 cents per sq. ft. installed at 4" deep..... man I wanted to go into business for myself when I heard that..... wholesale prices in Southern Wisconsin are about $900- $1000 per 80 yd. delivered or about $10 or so a yard ( plus delivery) the local landscape suppliers sell it for less than $21/yd. There is a guy in todays paper selling it for $24/yd free delivery over 4 yards.....too bad I didn't do more mulch jobs....

I just need a time frame for 2 people to spread 25 cubic yards of bark.. If it is kept dry and covered.. I hear 1,5 to 2hrs per yard? so approx.. 50 manhours? It is all fairly level but we will end up moving the whole 25 yards I use the tarp method that way I don't have to load and reload the wheelbarrow

For us it's about 1 hour/yard. From what I've read here I think that's about average unless it's a tough job.

Never tried the tarp to haul mulch and it doesn't sound like I want to.
Done planty of leaf removals when I was younger and used a tarp.
No thanks, sorry I couldn't help you on this one.

DONT YOU HAVE TO FORK IT ON AND THEN FORK IT OFF.? AFTER DRAGGING IT AROUND THE YARD..... I WOULD THINK A WHEEL BARREL WOULD BE THE TICKET. ONE FORKING AND EASY WALKING.... RIGHT WHERE YOU WANT IT.....

This reply is alittle late.
Iwould suggest trying bagged mulch. Yes its expensive but it only take 45 min toget off truck open bags spread and cleanup.
Also never break your price down per yard sell all the bed services with a one lump sumprice. and if anyone questions you dont back down answer with confidence that they will be making a great decision if they go with you and your here to help for the long run. most customers are less concerned about price and more concerned about the overall experience.
