Save $$ on your GM vehicle through the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association

Since 1998 the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association has been offering fleet discounts to its members. For example, a 2005 Chev. Silverado / GMC Sierra carries a fleet discount of $4,500 (which is taken off of your invoice prior to the taxes being applied).

Do you get any rebates and so fourth along with that? For example. Last July, we bought a silverado, 3500, Dmax/Allison package.

We got $2,000.00 in dealer bucks back, a rebate of $5,000.00, and, a 0% loan. Keep in mind they wanted to clear the 04 inventory.

I'm wondering if the rebate through your association replaces any forms of rebate such as we get from time to time in the US, or if you would get that on top of everything else?

For comparison if anyone bought a comparable unit last year our truck is an 04 Silverado 4x4, power packages, cloth seats, extended cab, Dmax/Allison....

the truck listed at $44.5K We got the truck after all said and done for $37.5K. I wonder what different dealer shcpeels are?

Hey Bill,

There aren't any rebates that are stackable with the fleet incentive. Typically in the Canadin market customers have two options: either to go through the retail channels and get low rate financing or low rate lease, even 0% when offered; or they can go through as a fleet customer and receive fleet pricing, which is where they would qualify under our incentive program.

A benefit to our program is that you need not worry about GM's fleet customer restriction policy. Their policy states that you must have at least 5 GM vehicles to be considered for fleet pricing. In this case you would use the buying power of the Association and use our fleet account number and authorization.

Currently this program is only available for Canadian purchases/leases.

I bought two new '04 trucks in the fall of 2003 and used both methods CANADANURSERY alluded to.

Went through Nisco National Leasing for my GMC and got the CNLA discount pricing (I belong to Landscape Ontario), and went through Chrysler's Gold Key Lease program using their "friends & family" discount for my Dodge Ram.

I specifically wanted to lease two different makes to see which would work better for me over a four year period. Prior to getting them I had older model GM's and wasn't partial to any make over the others. Had I have needed three, I'd have gotten a Ford too.

Advantage to the GM is a very low buy-back and unlimited KM's through the lease. Advantage to the Chrysler Lease is the great deal for friends & family using the discount.

Both ways saved me lots of coin, and most importantly I haven't had the downtime associated with owning older vehicles anymore. My next vehicle purchase may be a dump truck, and I'm not sure if the CNLA discount applies there or not. GM does have dumps though...

We have had discussions with both Chrysler and Ford. They have both come back and said they were unable to match the incentives offered by GM.

Leasing companies are great and have alot of utility for small businesses. You generally have low buy backs because they take the vehicle at current market value, rather than like GMAC who sets the buy back amount at the beginning of the lease. Also, you are not limited to the amount of kilometers you put on your vehicle (no penalty fee for going over!).

We currently have $3,000 in fleet incentives for GM's dumps (C4500, 5500). These are available through a leasing company as well.
