blush Hebe Jeeby

Hey I am in the Portland Oregon area.

I have three extremely happy Hebe 'Autumn Glory' shrubs that are about 3 or 4 years old and have look 'glorious' up until right now. They even made it through a few icy, windy cold winters we have had since their planting unscathed.

Last summer, i installed a drip system that waters every other day, so it is getting more water than in year's past. Of course, here in the NW we get ample water all winter.

i am noticing that it is dropping leaves in the center of my bushes and looks a little concerning. Some of the leaves are looking a little yellow and shabby.

Any tips from a Hebe expert?? They are all three this way.

Thanks...i dodnt want to lose my beauty plants!

without a picture its hard to tell, but since its evergreen and you said the leaves in the middle are turning yellow and dropping, that could just be evergreen leaf loss. Evergreen lose old leaves as well, especially in the middle of the plants because they get shaded out and get old. Unless the outer leaves are doing the same i wouldnt be too concerned just yet.

I don't know the plant, but after NCU's suggestion which sounds quite probable, I'd wonder about too much water.

hard to say about the watering, since they like it on the moist side
