Using Plant Brokers

Hi everybody,

How many of you use Plant brokers either on a local or national level to source your material for jobs? I have been thinking lately that this could really save time from having to run all over to find material and help find hard to locate varieties. For those of you that do use one, is it worth the extra expense and have you had any bad experiences using a broker's services?
Thanks-Brian

Broker or re wholesaler ??

There are a couple of nurseries that are re wholesalers out here.. I use them all the time. I can get the plants I need / want... pay a bit more, but they are all in one spot. Fax them a list... it is sitting on pallets waiting for us.

I also sell plants to them so it works both ways, and have hauled a few loads of trees for them as well this year.

A plant broker basically is buying for each job / client. I sell to about 3 of them, they get a quality plant from us, have always paid cash, (required) and are repeat customers.

Varies around the country, I am in the heart of nursery world here.
