Cascading Plant Material
Can I get some ideas on plant material that will cascade over a 6' wall?
Just need to soften a rock wall that is too much "hardscape" for the homeowner.
Would like it to be evergreen, blooms are good too.

Daphne cneorum 'Ruby Glow' would fit the bill if it is part-sun to part-shade and acid to neutral soils.

Winter-blooming Jasmine could do it.

Yeah, sorry. Full sun. Zone 7.
Thought about WJ too but trying to do something unique.
Never herd of Daphne cneorum 'Ruby Glow' but it looks pretty cool.

Trailing roses can be great in a spot like that. I did a planting like that a while back with pink, white and red trailing roses, juniper conferta and some pennisetum that I really liked. Or Deutzia gracillis nikko.

How about some vines? Carolina Jessamine, Crossvine, Clematis armandii come to mind. I like the idea of roses, too, like Flower Carpet. Mix it up for stuff like that... maybe throw in some Creeping Jenny, Cranesbill Geranium, dianthus... or if you want to go really out of the box find a Snow Fountains weeping cherry without a graft

First thing that came into my mind before I read Jesse's post was Coral Honeysuckle (Lonicera sempervirens). I'm not sure this will really cascade, but it sure will drape a ways over the tops of a wall.

I used a prostrate pine at the top of a wall once. I can't remember exactly what it was called, but it might have been Pinus sylvestris 'Hillside Creeper'.

How about "pink cascade" azalea. I think it will take full sun. If you give it plenty of water but maybe not. usually listed as part sun. but a some stuff can take full sun with enough water. you'll have to research that.
the cascade down the front of the wall if planted at the top of the wall and have beautiful pink blooms.
like i said though. may not work with the full sun. but i think we have put in near if not full sun before.

For a different color, maybe Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar.

If you are looking to cascade over a wall...
Can go further in thought and do annuals.....Wave petunias, Allysum and others....
Oh and Million Bells is awesome.....that is the small flowered petunia
