Favorite natives

Okay so what are you favorite native plants to use in landscaping in your area? Prefer strictly native or special selections taken from native sources. If you must...cultivars will suffice.

agla is on a distinguished road
Ilex americana, Potentilla fruiticosa, Clethra alnifolia, Ilex glabra, Ilex verticilata, and Arctostaphylos uva-ursi for starters when they are part of an ornamental planting.

Myrica pensylvanica, Rhus copalina, Prunus maritima, Vaccinium corymbosum, Vaccinium angustifolium, and whatever is readily available that suits the habitat when it is a restoration project.

Clethra, I. glabra, Chasmanthium latifolium, Panicum virgatum, Echinacea spp., Rudbeckia spp., Christmas fern, Illicium spp., Itea, Myrica cerifera, I. decidua, Magnolia virginiana, Carpinus, Ostrya, Cladrastis kentuckea, Heuchera americana ('Green Spice' rocks), I. vomitoria (one of the great botanical names)... and on and on...

I love native, but don't discriminate based on country of origin, there are lots of great exotics that are both wildlife friendly and non-invasive... but that's enough to start another thread entirely.
