OK Not sure which forum this should be in...but here we go.
If you have been reading these great forum for awhile, you know I had a challenging year last year with my son in a motorcycle accident followed by a phone call from my 56 year young sister who told me she only had 2-4 weeks to live and could I come out to see her in Denver.....
As most of you know, these events have had a tremendous impact on my life and my approach to business.
I am proud to say that as of today I have launched a website
http://www.healinggardens.org which I think can be a cornerstone for our industry and show people what we are made of.......
If you visit the site you will see a much more in depth why and how I have gotten to this point
I know that gardening is the #1 hobby in this country and anyone interested in gardening has a big heart and knows how healing a garden can be and our industry is primarily small operations of a few million to a few hundred thousand dollars a year.
It is with that knowledge I look forward to the opportunity to make healinggardens.org into an organization similar to Habitat for Humanity...obviously that will not happen over night...
But after sitting at my sisters bedside for a week and seeing how peaceful she was and the impact that the local hospice made in her life.........I told her I would do this.....
So please visit the site, which is only basic at this time, but I will be improving it daily and let me know if you know any national companies that would like to get on board or would like to participate in any way.
Thanks in advance for any help or input as healinggardens.org expands.............
