What would you charge?

I have a neighbor of a customer that has asked me if I could remove a metal swing set and the gravel playground that it is on which is about 20ft by 15 ft and 2 to 3 inches deep of pea gravel I don't know why he asked me since my company is called Buell Concrete LLC on the van I drive I guess it was just convenient, anyway I figure I could remove the gravel and the swing set in a couple hours but he also wants the area to be filled in with topsoil then sod on top, I really don't have any Idea what to charge for this since I do mostly concrete But i figure its getting close to the end of the season so I'll take anything thrown my way. I'm in a suburb of Chicago can you still get sod this late in the year? And any hints on what to charge would be great. Thanks.

Charge what you bill per hour to work concrete, plus dumping,, hauling and any other out of pocket associated costs. That of course is assuming you are slow pouring mud, which is your forte.

You can get sod clear up until the first hard frost in the midwest, Cetral is right off 111th in Naperville, Wiesbrock is off Rt 38 in West Chicago and Dunteman is out in Kaneville off Kaneville Rd.
