Shot's of a planting job

Below are some shots of some work we did last week and this week. I can't take credit for the entire planting, we renovated what the previous 3 or 4 landscapers have not gotten right.

Could not resist the Jobsite sign!

We added the Belgian Block on the outside of the walk. The 'Little Bunny' Fountain Grass replaced some 'Gold Mound' Spirea that was choking the front walk.

We just finished this job, but luckily salvaged the sod we dug up and replaced it. That should score some points, and I hope some references, from the homeowner.

Hey, is that 'Dragon Lady' Holly framing the front door. This was the first house I tried that on...

That's a nice looking project! And that does look like Dragon Lady Holly by the entry. It is one of my favorite hollies since it stays narrow. Some of the new red hollies are nice also.

This is the side entrance to the house. We redid everything from the Harry Lauders Walking Stick back. We removed a Potentilla, Purple Leaf Sand Cherry, and some Hybrid Teas to install the new garden. We even took the time to incorporate a yard of compost before installing the plants (too often neglected IMO).

I like the boxwood backdrop and the Korean Stewartia will be limbed up as it gets bigger. The house is 2 1/2 stories tall there and I wanted to bring things back down to scale. The homeowner wanted roses so I gave her some Fairies and Carefree wonder. The perennials are some Anemone, Heuchera, and Scabiosa.

Final shot,

I wanted to put an evergreen in for some interest in the winter. This Weeping Blue Spruce is going to look SHARP covered in snow with some nice uplighting!
