Would you like a news crawl just above this poll area on the Headlines page?

I'm looking into adding a news crawl to the Headlines page. This would be placed in the left column, and news items would scroll up, and if you see a story you'd like to read more about, just click it and it'd take you to the full version of that story.

If you think you'd enjoy this, cast a vote to say so!

A news section would be great, but all the movement in web-pages drives me nuts...detracts from actual content.

I think if the news was only landscape/horticulture/business relevant it would be great otherwise I would say no. I don't know if you could get a news feed orientated to our industry.

I'm trying, but the closest so far is Ag news, which is not as close as it might sound.

There is plenty of news available on the net. We can all go to msnbc.com. I think it would be better to stick with what you are good at.

My inbox gets an industry news brief I think every week from Lawn & Landscape I think, but I gave up glancing at it long ago, since it was mostly stuff about heavy hitters-- DowAg, John Deere-- and their corporate machinations.

If you were thinking regular old bad news Stone, then I'm with John, no thanks...

This is all good to know. I realize that just because you can do something, it doesn't mean you should do something. We had two positive votes - I'd be interested in hearing their opinions, too.

Why not see if you can get subscriptions to Unilock, Keystone, perhaps some stone suppliers such as RCP Block and Brick (second largest manufacturer for Keystone, etc and run those through a news clip. You could also run things like the CLCA, ILCA, ASLA and so fourths news letters through. All they need to do is supply you with the stuff.

I voted no too, I've got news sources I grown to trust. I don't mean to suggest yours couldn't be trusted Jeff, but some of the crap that is supplied (or spoon fed?) to us isn't worth reading.
