Do you know the way to eBay?

Have you ever purchased equipment for your business through eBay?

What's the largest purchase you made through an online auction site?

From your experiences, and there tips you can provide the members to help ensure they don't buy a lemon?

I have bought a few tools thru E-bay, mostly larger drills and accessories.

I did buy a new fridge from a local dealer that was selling on E-bay saved myself over $2000 on it. Retail on it was over $4500 I paid $2200, plus delivery was free

I bought a truck out of Texas. I did my homework and figured worst case I'd have to replace the engine and made my bid accordingly. Even with shipping, I got a rust free truck that cost much less than our market here would bring.

I've found the original F-SuperDuty can handle more payload than the current F-450, the reason I was looking for that type truck.

Pelican - how much was shipping (if you don't my asking)? Also, how did you arrange it? I have a neighbor that bought a car in Florida (we're in Wisconsin), he flew there to pick it up, then drove it home.

I have bought a small plate compactor, laser, diamond blade and 500 black sharpies.

All were good values.

Peace,

Rex

Shipping was $900 to my door. Ebay has shippers available, but the guy I bought the truck from set me up with a local shipper who was $200 less than ebay's.

I forgot to mention the truck was in better shape than I anticipated and will work well for my business.

I've bought a laser, used partner saw, bosch demo drill, jumping jack, tree digger spade, blades, and I'm sure more that I can't think of. So far, so good.

I have bought :

5 irrigation controllers - cases of sprinklers- chain saw - Toro walk behind mower - plant seeds - plant materials - camera lens.

I was in the bidding on a nice Kubota tractor that went reasonable.

I ahve been happy and will continue to buy products on E Bay. I use this freight broker for freight and quotes...

There's snow on the ground there Steve..........

I bought a back plow, HD trailer, jeep parts, plow parts, waverunner parts, and some odds n ends stuff, so far I bought 1 item that was exactly as discribed, but I didn't research it correctly and it's not the right part.

I have sold numerous surplus items.

Ask questions and get pics. Make sure it is what you want, and it includes what is in the pic.
