I think it would be intersting to see what the mix of contractors is at GTX. I notice that there are numerous people here who run 'larger' operations and I appreciate their input on managing & expanding. I also love the Tips and Tricks I pick up from owners of smaller companies.

I used to think that the only way to be successful was to have a huge company and run around like a chicken with my head cut off. I have grown to realize that a company can be successful without being the biggest on the block.

Please share a bit about the size of your company and your philosophy for the business.

JW, I find it interesting that you equate having a huge company with running around frantically. Just an observation...

BTW, I'm not sure where I fall, but I'll take a stab at it.

You'll note that I said "when I started out".

The company I was talking about in the second skid-steer thread alos has more than 10 crews an I belive that they have 2-4 trucks just for fall clean-ups. That must cost money. They are a really big company though.
