Flat Rate Book?

This is our second year in business and we have some information from our previous jobs to go on, but I am looking for a flat rate book (like the mechanics and plumbers) to use for pricing and as a benchmark for employee performance.

I understand that there are many less variables in replacing an alternator or a water heater than there are in our industry. Since this is our slow time of year I have been accurately recording the amount of time it takes for each task in each project in an effort to create my own. However if there was one already out there I'd be willing to pay for it.

Thanks

I think planet sells one check out
using one of those as a guide taking into account factors like conditions on terrain, access, etc. would yield better estimatescheck here[/url]

This one is used quite a bit by others here and I've found it to be helpful: RSMeans Landscape Cost Data

It breaks down tasks like planting a shrub down to the gallon size of the plant, whether it's B&B or potted, or for trees, the size of the hole dug, etc. And then gives the number of minutes it should take. You can take the data and plug it straight into a spreadsheet to help with bids.

Means is pretty decent. I think Phil Nilsen had one out a few years ago.
