The idea behind the enclosed trailer came during a year we had lots of smaller jobs mixed with just a few very large jobs. Things just started getting forgotten. So we parked a trailer on site of the larger jobs and found that we could reduce "glass time" along with the smaller jobs everything was on hand to complete them faster and easier. Think how fast you can find the $3000 to $4500 by not sending out someone back to the shop or digging into your pocket to buy that missing gas can or that one peice of edging that didn't get loaded, add into that the problems that can be solved if that one peice of equipment thats in your shop you need to finish the job today and not haveing to send a person out to get it or return with a few men for a couple of hours to complete it tomorrow.

We leave ours on the site unless we need it somewhere else for whatever reason or if it needs to be left on the street. Most folks are real cooperative about leaving it in their drive. Got egged once though (#@$@%#).
this is easily one of the smartest purchases you could make !!!

Most often ours stays on site with the wheels jacked off the ground for security. There are times I feel uncomfortable leaving it on the side of a narrow, unlit, fast traveling road and we will pull it back at night.

I'll second what scl said an enclosed trailer is a very sound investment. NO regrets here. I had thought of enclosing 1/2 a trailer before too. If it's going to be a custom job anyway why not just customize the ramp to suit your needs and you have the added security of parking the skidsteer inside at night. Added bonus... the seat is dry in the morning.

They also have locks for the receiver so that the trailer cannot be attached to another vehicle, as well as wheel locks that allow the trailer wheels to be locked in an unmovable position. I currently have an open trailer, but I am looking at enclosing the front portion with a skid that I can take off if I need the full 16' length. I also have a 3/4 ton utility body that I found out the other day is approximately 6600lbs the way it's loaded now! I need to go through it and do some cleaning! It's either that or put the truck on a diet ! LOL! I will post any pics of the project when I get it done. Might be a little while though!

I also downloaded the tool check lists- I have yet to review them, but I'm looking to streamline my process that I use right now- which is to pretty much bring everything.
