Rick,
YOu and I need to talk more about this. I am not....I repeat....NOT a numbers guy. But I am trying to run my business by the numbers. Unfortunately, I have alot to learn.
In my business, unlike yours, we do not necessarily bill out billable hours. However, these numbers (I suppose) are figured into our rates. We don't charge an hourly rate, but charge by volume (or by truckload, if you will). Obviously, the rates figure in our overhead, etc.
By the way, when are you going to post the upcoming schedule for Compass? Everything is sold out! I just gotta get to one of these courses.

Rich
I have been smacked down to the ground busy around here at the farm for a few weeks. I bet our best opportunity to chew the fat over this will be by phone.
I have helped folks with very similar issues that you have,,, (chem care for one) with great results. There is really not much difference in your widget (per load) then a contractors widget (hourly),,, I'll show ya.
I promise to get some phone time very soon bud,,,,, I have several projects on the front burner and is keeping me low on my ,,,, A P C,,,,, no not my Available Production Capacity,,,,,,,((Available Phone Capacity)),,,LOLOLOL
as far as Compass,,,,
well,,,,,
Keep your eyes open for a very special anouncement,,,, BIG deal is just around the corner,,,,,

one of the things ive tried on 2 maintenance crews last year which worked pretty well was make the foremans salary and the laborers hourly.. while it does cause a little friction in the crew i think. but we cut down on a lot of the b.s. wawa and quick check stops. i did notice they were one of the only crews that brought in coolers with drinks and picked up bags of ice on the way to work.

Fair enough Rick. No hurry at all. Whenever you find the time. I am merely trying to get this numbers thing down!!!
