Need Advice on building a Better Business Plan

Had my business for about three years, but I'm trying to increase growth and would like to greatly improve my business plan.

One of my reasons is to apply for a business loan. What are your views on business loans?

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cowboy,
I have successfully used different types of bus. loans in the past, some good, some not so good. I would do a lot of research, and interview at least 4 lenders before you decide on source. You will need a good bus. plan, however they will ask you for much more then that. They will want at least 3 years financial, tax returns, and budget forecast to name a few. Especially if this is your first loan of this nature. You have to be prepared for the interview, and you have to make a good impression on the lending agent. They will put you over the coals since you are considered a start up company still. I would advise talking to somebody in your area that has sought after and received the type of loan you are going for. Every bank is different, and what they want in my area may not be the same for yours. A good place to start would be to take a look at the SBA website.
