Hey All,
I am in the process of evaluating the current and future needs for my business. That being said, the growth of the business is being limited strictly by us having to deal with the day-to-day operational issues of the business. Putting out all of those small fires.
This year is going to be a major mark for us in terms of sales and revenue. That being said, we have seen a steady growth rate of about 30% in revenue each year for the last three years.
This year, we are focusing hard on profitability, efficiency and streamlining our operations.

My question: At what point should a business owner consider hiring an Ops Manager to handle the day-to-day BS and truck crews (anything distracting us from growing our business)?
What metrics should we be looking at to evaluate the need?
I'd love to hear from all of you on this issue.

-Rich

Can you give us a little more info,,,, every company is so different and, IMHO, I need to understand the owners position in the operation? Also what does the owner enjoy doing for the operation and,,,,,, so,,,,, I also have to ask, what is he best in doing for the company?
How many employee's currently? How many are you planning to bring in very soon? How many different divisions currently? How many folks are in admin only? (office)

I would like to help ya out if I can, just need a few Q's answered so I can try.

Rick
