WHat keeps me awake at night?
1. Our business sees a drastic decrease in the winter months. So I would say that my #1 concern is bringing in enough revenue and jobs to keep us above water.
2. Waiting for the next snow storm to arrive.
3. Planning for our future growth.

I would say a yearly business plan is absolutely crucial.. One that specifically takes seasonality and future growth into account. At a minimum, this should also include a revenue review and projection plan, marketing plan/budget, labor/hiring plan, expense worksheet, etc.
I just completed mine, and it has given me some guidance.
This time of a year also allows everyone some time to create a vision for your company. I found this to be very important. What do you want your company to look like in 2 years? 5 years? 10 years? Foot for thought...........
