I have tried to attach our job sheet but it's too large. I've emailed it to jeff and hopefully you'll see it in a couple of days. Enjoy

If you want accurate written information from field workers keep it simple. If it isn't simple it will either not get done or it will be wrong.

We use the jobclock system and it is worth the money. It paid for itself in less than three weeks and makes payroll a breeze. You just read the clocks with the palm pilot, download to computer, and print reports.
We have 5 different crews, two maint., 2 landscape, and 1 irrigation, so each crew has its own clock named appropriately. Makes the separation for different work comp rates a breeze. We also pay when the crew gets to the jobsite. Unless a driver or a foreman, so the clock goes with them, they clock out for lunch, etc.
It is funny to see how what was once 7 - 5 with half hour lunch now is 7:00 to 4:46 with a :42 minute lunch. Do the math on a workforce and it is amazing how much money you will save.
Any one have any questions feel free to ask away.

Pilot,
How much does the jobclock system run?
How hard was it to setup?
How have your employees responded to it (losing 45 minutes of paid time a day, do they take shorter lunches and work later)?

I honestly don't remember the cost exactly, but around 275 per clock, 26 bucks for each set of keys, something for the software, and the palm pilot was about 75 but if you have one you can avoid that cost.
Like I said above, you will pay for the equipment within a few weeks in labor savings and from then on it is money in your pocket.
You must be very firm with your employees, if you don't clock in or out you have to call the office THAT day and report your time and why you didn't clock in. "I forgot" doesn't count. Otherwise don't clock in don't get paid. Don't clock out don't get paid.
Couple the time clocks with nextel gps tracking and the system is almost fool proof, but that's a different topic.
Piece of cake to set up and get running, maybe about a half hour.
One other thing. The people at exaktime are awesome to work with and the tech support is great.
I would tell anyone, do it now and save big money.
For exact pricing call exaktime and tell them Sean from TurfGuys in Missouri sent you.

Special Offer - free first jobclock + shipping (395.00) - expires today. 1-888-788-8463
I spoke with them this week about using just one clock at the yard for 2 crews. Total was about $560.00 for 5 employees using my existing palm pilot. Where I park my truck we don't have a shop where I could keep a regular timeclock plugged in so I might give this a try.

I checked out that JOBCLOCK website, but not sure how it works with maintenance companies that might visit 60 different properties in a given week. Looks like they want one JobClock at each location? I assume there's some way of programming them for multiple sites?

You can just leave a clock at a jobsite or give each foreman a clock for respective crew and the clock travels with them. They are battery operated so you can take them wherever you want. Each employee is responsible for their time keys.
If you can get the first clock for free this is really a no brainer. I am telling you, it will make you money.

So, did anyone take advantage of the jobclock offer. I got mine but my palm is too old, I need to upgrade before I can set up the system.

It sounds promising, but for this year upcoming I'll be happy just to keep on top of the time-tracking feature of QB. Maybe next year...
