Reminder of why we do this

Today when I drove into work it was sunny and 60 degrees, forecast high of 78. All the Bradford Pears, redbuds, daffodils & bleeding hearts are in bloom, the first of the azaleas are opening (Sorry to rub it in for all of you in colder climes).

It's important on days like these that we, as managers, take a little time to enjoy the things that make this work great.

Also, tell your employees that on days like this, everyone wants our job and they should enjoy it while it lasts. Allow a little time for your employees to "stop and smell the roses." We all need days like this to remind us why we do what we do. Cold & rainy / snowy is not far behind and hot & humid is not far ahead...

I agree Jesse. Though most of our days are in the 70's and 80's, we do have those moments like down in Rattlesnake Canyon, or along Otay Lakes Rd, or hanging off a beachside cliff where working as we do, the scenery is beyond beauty. I often find myself when we are in the areas, driving down and parking on the beach just to watch the waves crash as I plan the week out and return calls.
