Years ago I worked for a radio station that was rather irreverent in the music it played and the attitude of the programming. We all were told to come up with our own titles for our business cards. It was fun. I used "Coffee Achiever", another guy used "Low Miles, Fully Loaded" and I think he was loaded much of the time. One Gal used, "More Important Then You". It added to the novelty of the station's whole image, which in turn is supposed to add to audience share and then of course, sales. I doubt the titles played much of a role really, but it was fun.

In contrast, I have been currently operating without cards for about six months. Most of the information on my old card is incorrect. I rationalized putting off new cards because I was very busy with existing repeat customers, I knew we were heading into some big changes and I didn't want a thrown together looking card. I don't think it has effected me beyond a certain level of inconvenience. I reproduced my old logo for my drawings and I will add appropriate information based upon the customer.

I should finally have artwork for our new logo, business cards, envelopes and letterhead this weekend. I chose the route that Stone chose, I left my title blank.

kinnanscaping is on a distinguished road
I do not ever type anything with a personal bent. I take what was typed and respond to it based on my feelings and thoughts.

My final two cents: a title is a title is a title. Some people pay thousands of dollars to come up with just the right terminology, just the right slogan, and just the right title. I like what Stonehenge said about calling yourself "CEO" of a two employee company. If the shoe fits, wear it. If you call yourself something now, you may decide to change it later. Quick example from my own marketing: I had something printed that read "Call Today For..." As I thought about that, I decided that it sounded too 900 numbery, too much like a quick-fix infomercial. I am eager, maybe desperate for your business. That is not want I want to convey. So, the next thing I had printed up read "Now Scheduling..." What kind of response do you all think that will invoke? Same thing with titles, imo.
