Budget AND waste in our states

I'm not sure if this is even the rigth subject fr this title, but here goes...

We all see the waste various states have going on within, and since this is industry related, I had to share.

The land of fruits and nuts they call this state..Rightfully so...Did you know we have a staff of lawyers who sole job is to prosecute and punish people who steal trees? Further, we have GPS tracking chips that are placed in tree boxes so satelites can see where the trees went to...

Anyone else have a frivelous occurance going on in thier state they would care to share?

LOL!!! Honestly, I really am laughing out loud - GPS tracking chips in trees?? Too bad they can't invent a Lojack-type system with a poison pill. Steal the tree, and upon activation a dose of Roundup is administered to the tree, making it worthless to the thief.

The only thing I've found in Wisconsin is the expenditures on schools and roads. That seems to be the only things they invest in here. Don't get me started on the schools....but the roads - it seems every few years every road is ripped up and repaved. As soon as a pothole appears, >poof< so appear the orange cones and construction workers. Don't get me wrong, roads like billiard tables are great, but it seems that if we could put off repair/replacement for these roads 2-3 more years for each cycle, we'd save a great deal of money without noticeably reducing the quality of the roads.

Aw, think what putting off road repairs would do to the economy.....Around here, it seems every fourth person works for the M*** Brothers company, putting in roads 50 hours a week 9 months a year and collecting unemployment the other three....buying lots of fast food (another 1/4 of the local economy). I just heard from his caretaker that Mr. M*** has dinner at the governor's mansion EVERY week...Hmm, maybe I should help Mr. M*** spend some of my tax money on an updated landscape....

If you really want to see waste, just pick-up any Chicago area newspaper. Remember when looking up the word corrupt it also says see Chicago.
