questn Too Late?

Hello all,

I have a client that needs to have their yard dethatched and aerated. Question is - is it too late in the season to do this now?

We are in the Dallas area.

TIA--

Nebraska is on a distinguished road
In our area it is "horticulturally" too late to dethatch. Aeration is ok. We are quite a bit further north than you though. Emphasis is on "horticulturally".....

As for your aeration no it is not to late. As for thatching the same goes but to help you out I would wait till spring. When you do the mow downs and are bagging you can do the thatching at the same time. By using the bag of your mower to help pick up the thatch. Also in case we have any hard freezes over the winter you don't take a chance on exposing the roots to any damage. Also it depends on the type of grass you won't to thatch, don't do St. Augustine.
