Organic Lawn Care

We have been trying to guage the market for organic lawn care services. Can anybody help us out with what kind of atmosphere is out there? What kind of a demand have you seen for organics on the lawn?

Looks like you're already in it, so I have to think the time for gauging the market has passed.

I hate to say it, but this is starting to smell like processed meat in a can.

You're about 10 years late

The Organic movement has been rolling along for some time....

I have no idea what it's like in your zone 8...........but, If you belong to green trade associations.....read the paper and watch the news......you'll get an idea

Glan - He's already launched his business. I have a feeling he knows exactly what the atmosphere is like out there. He's trying to give himself some free pub. I believe this is a national service (I think).

I would think, based on what I see in my market, that if there are 20 lawn app trucks running around, then one of them will be an organic company. Maybe 5% of the population cares enough to fork out the extra money it takes to hire an organic lawn co.

Oh......yah.........some people, huh?

Organic is slowly taking hold where I am.....A couple guys in my area, 1 who has been doing organic for a while.....he's even spoken at seminars. Another, last year did a total switch to organic on all maintenance accounts. Pesticides is realy a hassle today.

Although.....The greater majority of property owners don't want to take the chance. Their landscape looks great and has looked great...that's all they know and care about.

The awareness is to high at this time for me to ignore. Reason why I have a few test properties on an organic program......although.......and I have said this before. I will control weeds the conventional way.
