kill clover, keep baby's tears

Anybody have an opinion on what's the best herbicide to kill clover without killing baby's tears?

Thanks!

If the area in question was small enough.....and the clover invasion not so severe.....I would invest the time, take an old screw driver and dig the clover out.

If the clover is over taking the ground cover.......then I would opt to spray and replant. If not spraying then remove all and replant.

The Baby tears and clover are some of the most prolific weeds in our area.
I wouldnt worry too much about the baby tears comming back when you get hard core weeding out the clover. The problem you will have is the seed "springs" on the clover so when you pull it seeds will fly everywhere.
If you go with an herbecide app. try to soak a sponge in the nasty stuff and wipe just the clover above the baby tears. This will take 2-3 applications over time. The baby tears are super resiliant in our area zone 9

Yeah, it's probably a bit too large an area to dig out all the offending clover - about 10'x20'. So it sounds like the baby's tears (which look great in this area!) are going to be susceptible to any herbicide that takes out Clover? I guess the 'sponge' method is probably what I'll try - what's the recommended herbicide of choice then?

Mixed together? Is that to get the roundup to 'attach' better to the clover? Any specific recipies?

Yes mix it up. Ever get laundry detergent on your hands and its hard to get off without alot of water. Welp thats cause of the surfactants in detergent. Just disolve a little.( tbs per gal.) This helps it stick to the fuzzy clover. The sponge process is called wicking. You can use a sponge mop too. Dont forget you need a pestacide lic. to do this for money.
