Does anyone here use turf stripers on any of their commercial properties during the mowing season? And, are their any aftermarket striping kits you can get rather than getting them directly from Exmark/Kubota, etc.?

I don't use any, but my Ransome mowers do stripe pretty nicely without them. If most of my properties were the size of the one shown above I'd be more apt to look into them, but the majority of mine are < .25a

Is this something you keep to yourself to sell, or is it something you would actually give the schematic out for? I would love to be able to save some more money. PM me

FWIW, this pic is of a lawn cut w/o rollers on the mower deck. To better define striping, I'll simply go over my lines twice.

What is with you turf guys and stripping? I love the look of nice green turf without a mark in it. The only place I think stripes look right is on a sports field. Just my taste I guess.

If you want an economical stripe kit you can get an old mud flap and cut it down to whatever height you need. Usually about 2.5" from turf height and bolt to the back of the mower. We started doing this years ago when we could not afford the factory units. Now we order out mowers with them, except for the walkbehinds, we still use the above method.

Dan,
I have alot of customers that ask specifically to have there lawns striped. IMO, there is nothing like a good stripe.
