I hear that seeding zoysia where gras is already there has a high failure rate.

well we just purchased our home and the land was bare so i threw winter rye down to get some color over the winter


i want to plant zoysia but i hear it has a high failure rate if used for overseeding.

i know winter rye dies off can i still do this

I am not familiar with Zoyzia seed, plugs yes.

If from seed I see no need to treat it any different than any other warm season type grass seed.
