I love my oil mix toro mower, cant beat it.
I had 3 snappers and they all went to the junk bin!
Toro mower is still going! I think its really a kawasaki engine? Its old school no slide and go its just go go go!
I use the high class oil in the gas and keep it real clean, that helps I think.

You can get the bracket for a Grass Gobbler and hang it on there or you can mulch with it was well.

If a ZTR is not within your budget, then perhaps a gear-drive walk-behind might do the trick. I've got two 36" Ransome gear-drive mowers and they have been virtually bullet-proof for me. Kohler engines in both. They're small enough to get into most yards and big enough to get 1/4 acre lawns done quick. I use Lawnboy commercial 21" trim mowers. They're the 2-cycle kind though...can't comment on the new 4-cycles. I also have a ten-year old Honda 21" 4-cycle still on the job. Don't use it much, but it bags great.

Have never used Snapper mowers, but my small equipment guy is going to start selling them this fall, so I'm sure I'll eventually get to check them out.

Exmark also has a 27" trim mower out this year. Self propelled, bagger or mulch. Quite heavily built. We bought one instead of a 32" or 36", works quite nicely.
