Sedge weeds

I'm hoping someone can direct me here....We layed some dwarf fescue sod a week or so ago. Through the sod is rising sedge. Is there anything I can treat that with that will kill the sedge that won't kill the fescue?

And it has to be legal in the land of fruits and nuts as well.

Bill,

We use Manage for sedge grass. Not sure of its effect on dwarf fescue though.

Ditto on what John said. MSMA works on sedge as well but with a slower response.

Bill, here's a link to the label for Manage. We use this as well with very good results. Not sure what 'dwarf fescue' is, but Manage is labeled for fescue on established turf.

Thanks guys, I will see who has Manage and if they even sell it here.

P Train:

Dwarf fescue is a patented blend of fescue which is used on lawns in full sun out here. It has similar characterisitics as regular fescue in terms of traffic, and such, but, what is good abouit it is that it requires cutting only every other week, and far less water needed to keep it green.

Nebraska is on a distinguished road
Out here we are using varieties of Dwarf Fescue that now grow from rhizomes and are such fine leaf they are indistinguishable by most from bluegrass.
