Pre-emergence after planting?

I want to try using some Snapshot over the top of fall annuals this year. I plan to wait a couple of weeks before doing this in hopes it won't stunt the Pansies.

What do you think?

Check the label to make sure.

We never use any pre ms over annuals. Most of the annual beds we plant, we have ammended with our special blend of potting mix and we will not have any weeds in the mix, and the annuals grow a lot better and all survive.

It's all an upsell as well.

I use Snapsot around annuals But you have to be sure to use it lightly VERY llightly

You may want to look into Using PREEN and keep your cost down and it will serve the same purpose and not be as lethal to the annuals

If you're planting winter pansies...realisticaly your planting bed should have been tended to all season.

We only use pre-emergents in the spring....We use Treflan. On commercial properties where the volume of planting beds is high..we apply PreM that you use on the lawn. The PreM is much less expensive to use for the volume of bed areas. It does work

Glan your right about Realisticaly the planting bed should have been tended to all season but at times we all will inherate a prop that has went to the dogs and then we have to use post emergants for our winter, spring, summer and fall beds (depending on the season we took over).

So tell me can you use treflan only in the spring and what is its active ingrediates

I'll use Treflan in the fall if I have done a new landscape and we will be maintaining the following year and the property has been poorly maintained.........but I don't much of that around me now a days

Thinking over this....I have never applied a pre-emergent at the time of planting flowers.
