I'm talking serious stone splitting!

Check these out!

If one of these wouldn't be a example of 'tool luster', I don't know what would be.

Check out the rest of the site too......some awesome stuff.

That's cool check out the one mounted on the trailer. The small paver cutting one is a "mere" $783.00. Hah I'll stick with a tub or cut-off saw.

I guess you've never used one, it's much faster than any tub saw, plus it give you the look with all the tumbled stones.

yes, a saw won't give you a finished face when splitting block.

That trailer model sure would look nice behind my pickup!

Who am I kidding though........half my guys have trouble using the smaller hand operated version........they'd probably get their whole head stuck in there instead of just there arm! Probably be the same sound you get when you put a walnut in a nut cracker.

Hey, this reminds me.....

Maybe a hydraulic splitter would work well for the ahesive test?

I've never used a splitter for stone before. I always used either a tub saw or cut-off saw. The trailer mounted one looks pricey.$$$$$$$$$$

Also makes great 'half blocks" for finishing out retaining walls!

There are some pretty big units on that site - a few of them look just like ones I've seen at a Versa-Lok mfg plant in town.

I have the little 6" Montolit splitter....

i've seen some that are at a local stone quarry that they have attached to large wheel loaders and can split things that are near 8-10 feet thick. not bad at all.
