18HP will be obsolete I just found out, so I guess we'll be getting the 25HP. Makes my decision easier. We were leaning in that direction just because wet leaves, pine needles, we don't want the hassle of the hose getting clogged.

Pelican, sounds like we work in almost identical areas and work in the same manner..minus the leaf plow. That works well for you?? We did the squishing grapes and are done. Our area is also extremely competitive. Our clients are happy but it's hard to get new ones. I find even when people aren't happy for some reason they don't want to switch...go figure. There's plenty of money in the town, but getting people to part with it is no easy task.

We're hoping to get a couple vac jobs also to increase profitability. We'll see.

it has been a long while since i posted, but, Pelican is right on the money. we operate 2 jrco leaf plows. they are the core of our leaf operation. we have a 17 acre historic cemetery that is 60% shade from the old old trees (we plow all the leaves into the woods), a 5 acre private school (we plow all the leaves into 4 piles right on the parking lot/road edges), 2 4+ acre residences with trees that are as old as 100 years (1 we are able to move the leaves into 3 piles).
3 guys on backpack blowers, 2 guys on rolling blowers, 1 ZTR with plow, and 1 on the vaccum on our grain body dump (14 c yd capacity). Each of the 4/5 acre property takes 2 days to clean, one 3 days. the cemetery takes 4 days. at least 30% less labor with the plowing system. leaves can be moved over huge distances. a marching line spreads out along a big line with blowers and the plow just keeps going up and back moving the row over and over. no one ever gets bogged down. the plow will just move the leaves over and over as far as 100-200 yards in a long line to 1 pile. it is awesome to behold.
