What's your favorite power tool?
I think that many of the members here are tool nuts, I know I am. I was working in my garage today sharpening my Stihl 020 chain saw. This saw is lightweight and packs a lot of power to zip through branches with ease. I love to use it to limb up trees and it makes the job a pleasure. There's something about a SHARP chain saw zipping through wood that gets me excited. Perhaps it's a chemical imbalance.
I love all of my tools but I think the 020 is my favorite. Can I say I love a tool without needing to talk to a shrink?
What is your favorite tool and why?

My favorite tool, eh?
They're all so nice, and each one is like a child. You love them all the same, but you love them for different reasons.
I really like our Bomag 4545 diesel compactor, because it can pound the ground like nothing else we own.
I also very much like how productive we are with our Partner saws. Fast, powerful, reliable.
I also like our Paver Square from Pave Tech. Simple tool, but it saves all kinds of time.
But I think my fav tool has got to be our skid steer. Gehl 6635 SXT. Takes a beating, has always delivered, doesn't give me any lip.
Oh - maybe my pickup, too. In about a month it'll top 200,000 miles, still running great.

My pickup I bought in '92 when I was fresh out of school is about to turn 200k as well. However, I sold it to my long term employee and he's the one who will see it turn.

I have an 020 that my dad bought 31 years ago. Still going, inthe job trailer, has the hedge trimmer and a 14" bar. What a machine!
But that said, I bought a Bosch Demo hammer and find more uses all the time. Chipping those little concrete structures that get in the way, busting up nasty clay, and driving rebar and spikes. This thing is cool.
Gotta say that my Bobcat is my baby though. Its only a 753, but I couldn't work without her.
I'm still negotiating with the finance department, (read that as "wife") about that new truck

You made me think of another - our Bosch SDS plus Hammer Drill. Sure, it's a small tool, but it has been really handy for all kinds of things.
SCL - How big is the Demo Hammer?

Its a 11316 I think. Uses SDS max bits and weighs about 30 lbs. Hammers only, no rotation. I'd like to get another one thats not quite that big and will drill too. But man this things really hits!
