Boston area truck dealers

Anyone ever hear about Marty's Pontiac Buick GMC just south of Boston?

What are they like?

I'm thinking of buying a truck from them and would love to hear from someone from the area. You could PM me if it's more appropriate.

Even better, if one of you guys knows an independent mechanic that might take a look at this truck for me, or if one of you landscapers has the savvy to look under a truck with a critical eye, and not for free of course, I'd be appreciative of a reference.

Yes. They do a big volume in trucks. I think they do Mitsubishi as well. I don't have personal experience with them, but I see a lot of their IDs on trucks in my area.

Quite a few guys go twice as far away from here to Mirak in Arlington, MA for new trucks some reason. I drive a Minivan (and an F150 when my wife lets me), so I'm out of the loop.

If you are shopping for a used cabover, there is a place in CT that does a huge volume in them. I think they recondition them as well. They advertise in those truck sales rags you see on magazine racks. A friend of mine bought two Mitsubishi diesels that seemed like they were brand new a couple of years ago. He has been very pleased with them.

I did touch base with Mirak on one truck in their lot, but it sold quickly. Very professional though. The salesman (Jim Wheaton) got back to me very quickly and answered all questions. It would have been easy dealing with him.

Thanks for the note by the way. Depending on whether we're in Boston overnight (thinking about coming down with my wife and the kids, it would be nice to meet you) in person.
