Generators

Just bought a small generator for electricity.

Mainly for the home as backup in case a storm strike, then it occured to me that I could use it at work.

Seems that I'd only use it about 3 or 4 days in a year.

This is the first one I've ever owned / 5000 watt

Anyone else use a generator? If so, often do you need it?

We take a small one to cottage country sites to run small power tools and an old small microwave during cold weather so that we can heat up a hot lunch without leaving the job site

We have one in each of our trailers. Comes in handy.

Does it make sense to buy a welder and add that capability along with the power souce for the "on the job" capability as long as you are spending the money?

I know Paul did that. I would've liked to see the inside of one of his trailers to see how everything was laid out.
