Humidity makes it tough to cool off, but 85 being to hot.... It must be different there somehow. We're all dancing here since it's down to the high 90s.

Here in Phoenix we cover up, but with loose clothing. Large brim hats, long sleeves and sometimes long pants. A bandana that is soaked a few times in cool water keeps the back of your neck cool while you look down a lot. Some guys place a towel under their hat so it draps down over the back of the neck.

One thing that is pretty important though is to hydrate the night before.... A lot. By the time you start working and sweating in the heat of the day, you can't keep up with the fluid loss by drinking. Even with Gatorade or Cytomax or other sports drinks.

We've used a pop-up canopy on a few occasions too, over walls and walkways. It is an efficient tool. As far as gel vests/ hats etc, I think I've abandoned the idea. (Holy crap it is warm here for this time of year - dry too. Nice evenings though). Thanks for the thoughts, everyone.
