Which Engine?

Business is growing and we're ready to get a riding mower. Anyone have any opinion as to which is better... Briggs & Stratton, Vanguard, or Kawasaki or Kohler. Not sure if the mower matters but it would be for a Ferris.
Opinions appreciated.

Vanguard is a model of Briggs engine. I have one with 4800 hours on it. It started life as a greens mower, pretty clean enviroment.

I did not realize you had an opiton. Most manfuactuers just put and enigne on it and thats what you get.

Briggs and Kohler would be my first choices, with a Kawasaki running a distant 50th place or so.

Thanks Dale,

We appreciate that a lot.

I've heard good things about Briggs & Stratton, but wasn't sure if they still held true.

We will go B&S then.

Thanks much!!

Sandi
