My pride and joy (trailer)

Hey, I just thought I'd post some pics of my "pride and joy". A dump box trailer that I personally designed every inch of and had custom built for me last winter. I've ran my own landscaping company for 11 years now and had been operating using my truck and an average 8X12 tandem axle utility trailer with 2 ft. sides and a ramp gate. We simply outgrew the little trailer and I'd always wanted a dump box but didn't think the one's I'd seen around here would be big enough not to mention where would I store all of my tools and equipment on them?

Problem solved, I found a website about a year and a half ago that had a pic of a dumpbox that also had a 6ft flatbed up front. I thought this was a great idea and emailed them to see if they could customize it for me. It was no problem and what I ended up with was this massive monolith of a trailer that holds all of my stuff as well as a ton of material (mulch, rock, waste, whatever) and dumps! I get a lot of looks....or should I say my trailer gets a lot of looks. Ok, we both get a lot of looks and questions about it. It has 7 doors (4 on the back end, 1 on the front end and the entire passenger side is a 60/40 split door that opens up to load larger objects such as trees, boulders, pallets of material, etc..

Let me know what you think!

Ok, it says my pic. attachment is too big, so if you go to my website on the main home page there's a picture:

Looks good from what I can see. Do you have some detailed pics to post?

Gardengirl - According to your site, that picture is over 1MB in size. Any potential clients of your who have dialup will never see your site, because that page will take about 7-10 minutes to load. If you'd like, I can resize the pic and email it to the address in your account here. Upload that one (I guarantee you won't be able to tell the difference), and you'll have much happier visitors.

BTW, looks like a great setup!

Yeah, I have more detailed pics, but I can't figure out how to post them here. It keeps telling me that the file size is to big even with just one pic.

Any suggestions?

Yup. You have to resive them. here's the tutorial For reference, you mention when the page is loading that the recommended screen pixel width is 1025. The image of your trailer is actually 2592 pixels wide. It's not showing as that big because within the html of that page someone has told people's browsers to display it as 488 pixels wide. So a huge file has been squished into a small box. The file isn't any smaller, just that it's displaying smaller.

If your website saw the traffic our site does, that image at that size might crash your server. Eeks!

I would think that whatever digital camera you're using would come with a bundled piece of software that you can edit pictures with. You'll need to use that in order to get those pictures posted here.

I thought it might be useful to show you an example of what I'm talking about with that image. Here's your image in it's REAL size:

I like the website, shows a personal side to the company. I have heard that frames are a bad thing for web search engines because they only hit the frame parent which usually has no content (location, services etc.)

Lots of content though, good stuff.
