Thanks for the tools Jeff.....

They arrived today by UPS, I was wondering what the my son had bought now......

turned out to be some pretty impressive tools... the rake seems real stout...since I broke a $ 38 bow rake, when my wife laid it across the front of the Vermeer bucket when we were doing some landscaping at our daughters house...and I raised it and broke the handle off real slick like...

Story behind this? And if you are testing these ( I seem to recall that topic) can you tell us how the wolverine spade holds up. I have looked at those in the past.

I should probably answer that question -

These are his rewards for being Membr of the Year - it only took me 9 months to make good on the reward.

Wolverine had sent tools over to us, which I carefully stowed away in a corner to re-palletize and ship over to Dale when I had a chance. Weeks went by, and the guys needed a new rake, and - oh look over here, a new rake! Then they needed a shovel, and - wow, a new shovel, too. Pretty soon I was going to end up having to send Dale some "pre-owned" tools. Rather than that I just ordered up new tools for Dale, which are what you see pictured.

For the record, we also have a "D" handled all-steel nursery spade, and that thing is very meaty. We won't be breaking that thing anytime soon.

The spoon shovels we have are also very well made. Though I have a personal preference of wood handles over fiberglass. I like the feel better.

I've got some Wolverine tools. Shovels are good but my bow rakes have not held up. After awhile the head gets wobbly. If I remember seem to be just riveted onto the fiberglass handle. And the rubber ends of the shovels slid off so we reglued them, no biggy. Still, nice to dig with. Enjoy.

Again.. thanks to Jeff.....and Wolverine tools.

The head on this rake bolts right to the handle. The foreman bolted it together with some nylock nuts.

Francisco and Antonio had these stashed in their 2 trucks about 10 min after I took the pictures.

I don't use a shovel much, and I made them give me one of their other shovels for my pickup. They really liked the spade shovel.
